Fender Rumble Club

20160906_184155.jpg

It took me a couple of months and different trades n stuff but i finally got it ... a pair of rumble 1x12 v2 cabs with a 200 head !!!

Yet another beautiful sunshiny day! Sometimes I delve into subtractive EQ especially for high gain and volume situations. Today got LOUD. Gain at high noon. I like it there or slightly backed off to 11 o'clock. No voicings or overdrive engaged. At first I backed off the bass; high mids, and treble to 9 o'clock for about a 7 to 8 dB cut at each control. Except the low mids. I left that at high noon for zero boost or cut. Just what the bass put out. Volume at high noon. Yes. LOUD. But it would be a good setting for a jam with drums and other amplified instruments. I decided to bump the bass back up a bit to 10 o'clock for about a 5 dB cut. It really sounds good like this with my American Standard Jazz strung in GHS Round Core Bass Boomers. Tone control rolled off to center on the real meat of the bass. Just point the line on the knob at the cable plug & bass jack, or about 1/3rd open. Favor the neck pickup a bit by backing off the bridge pickup. This truly kills a classic progressive rock tone. Lots of low mid meat and growl along with plenty of firm bottom. The top end is smooth and glassy with high mids in equal proportion with treble. There is a lot of very nice definition there. I love it when a tone sculpture comes to life. If I can find the Rumble tone pool again, I'll add it in.

and at most only one of a total of 60 rigs. They used to sell for about $3,500 brand new. I would think that would be a more than fair price today. Contact true collectors.

Yeah Linnin, give us a quick 30 second history on this thing. Is this a "Rumble V1" or "Rumble V3 Beta Test" or what? I'm pretty intrigued, and seeing as how he's in my home state...I'm doubly intrigued haha

Hello! I'll start off by saying that I am new to the Fender Rumble amp, but have been very impressed so far. Here's where I'm at. I just picked up a new Rumble 200 combo. I tried it in the store and have listened to countless samples on Youtube and have read all the specs and whatnot. I didn't crank it in the store, but did once I got home. Again very impressive with all the tone options. One thing was alarming in the fact that I heard a crackling sound when I played a high D(12th fret). I removed the grill and put my finger on the horn and the noise went away. I will add that the noise was there with the tweeter switch on and off. My gain and master settings are at noon. My question is has someone else had this same experience? Is it normal? Should I return the amp for the store to have a look to see if it needs repair? I really want this amp to work as I had thought I would get a second 115 extension cabinet and have an absolute beautiful amp in looks, sound and portability! Thank you in advance for your help!

If you hear it again take it back. No need in putting up with it, especially a new one.
