Fender Rumble Club

Rofl I have had less trouble with my Ibbys than my Fenders oops wasn't supposed to say that!

Sniffle, BTW the 2x8 Cab will handle low B with no Problem!
I'm not surprised. As I had posted previously, I use a 25 for bedroom practice. For a while I has a Squier VM J V and the 25 produced a nice low B. I traded the V for another P because I've found I don't really play 5ers that much and switching back and forth only confused me and I made mistakes playing the wrong string.

It is imperative to re-torque all screws in any bass amp from time to time especially a brand new one. Are the screws loose? If not, does the noise go away when you tighten them? If not, return for another unit. Test new replacement at store if possible.

Great point and I did tighten the screws on the tweeter hoping it would fix the issue and it didn't. I didn't want to fiddle too much as I was lucky enough to be able to rent the amp for a home trial. So I don't technically own it yet. :) Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. I had only ever played through the 100 watt combo and that was just for a few minutes. I loved it and it's why I headed back to the Rumble when I decided it was time to rid of my lead sleds. I'm going to contact them and let them know. I'll line up a time to check out another 200 watt and see if I can replicate the noise. I'm really excited to know how it sounds with an extension cab. Unfortunately, my music store doesn't have a single extension cab in stock. I'll have to order one sight unseen.

That leads to my next question. For those that use the 200 with an extension, do you use a 115 or the 210? I see the 115 is wider than the combo. Just curious as I won't be able to order both to try. I know the rule about mixing speakers and won't go down that trail in this thread. Thank you for answering my concerns so quickly. Cheers!
