Hi Rumble club/fans etc...
I've just joined the TB forum after reading the great reports on these amps from all you guys.
I haven't got a clue what I'm doing or how anything works on here. Anyway I have a Jack Casady ebony though a little Vox Bassman which is great for the home,(10 watts I think) but I've just joined a band and hire a Line 6 in the rehearsal studio. I want to buy a 200 combo but not sure the 200 will be loud enough over the rest of the band,(2 guitars and drums) we play old covers like Cream,Small Faces,TheJam,The Who and look to play bars/pubs etc. thing is I'm not sure I can stretch to the price of the 500 combo and think the 15" in the 200 will sound a bit more "old school" if you know what I mean. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I have used the original rumble 100 v1, the one with the red lights inside and the 15 inch speaker at 100 watts, in band practice several times when I had left my rig at home. I have always been able to hear myself in the mix even when the drummer started getting a little happy and heavy handed. We play classic rock like zztop, journey, Aerosmith and a bunch of other stuff. The guitarists use 1x12 tube combos and vocals and kick in the pa. I also used to use a rumble 150 v2 head into a v2 4 ohm cab and was always plenty loud for practice.
