Fender Rumble Club

I found that the rumbles were very muddy and undefined when I tried them, especially when compared to markbass. I understand that markbass costs almost twice as much, but do you guys have any advice for getting a similar tone in the general ballpark? Or am I missing something?
Ive played on both...and like both, although they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. At twice the cost, I certainly dont think MB sounds twice as good. When you look at the current market space, I feel they are grossly overpriced, especially for the "common man" working musician.

Just ordered one. Hope it does the trick. Because I have an Amazon Prime membership, I get it today with free shipping. Saturday we play a club that has a very boomy stage. Last time it was hard to get a decent sound. This will be a good test.
Man, Amazon is fast. But, I'm sure it helps that l live only 5 miles from a distribution center. It is already at my house. It got there about 2 hours ago. So from place the order until it got there took 3 1/2 hours.

Well I already have the 2x500 Combo stack of doom, but the 20% off enticed me to order a Squire VM Precision P/J in Lake Placid Blue....because well...idk...Lake Placid Blue.
I did the same thing, I was about ready to order the Rumble 115 cab from GC that I have been wanting, but at the last minute ordered the Squire Vintage Modified P/J in the Lake Placid Blue. 20% ($60) off was too good to pass up, but could not justify spending on both right now. The Rumble 115 cab to go with my Rumble 200 will just have to wait.

Hello!
Proud new owner of a Rumble 500 head, and am wondering... Will I get away with playing through my amp with my headphones plugged in, but NO CAB!?

Still waiting on my cab to come in, but I want to try out the head... Just want to make sure it's not like other Class D/ SS amps, and won't fry without the proper impedance cab plugged in.
Yes! You will be just fine with headphones only, @Mister Owl. Welcome To the Fender Rumble Club! @Gravedigger Dav will issue you a membership number next time he passes this way.

Let me know how yours works out. I have a Quarter pounder P/J set just sitting here I might install....it was just too pretty to pass up. I'm hoping the Agathis body means a light bass because my main gig bass is a road worn precision that weighs less than 8 lbs.

Hello all! Im new here. Im just looking to buy a combo amp and ive a few question for you. Im playing in a pop punk band and i dont know if a Fender Rumble 500 Combs fits good in terms of sound or its too vintage for pop punk sound. For a combo amp Im between Funder Rumble 500 and GK Mb210 II. Will the Fender Rumble do good with pop punk sound? Gk is better for that sound? Im open to hear more opinions about others combos for pop punk sound.
Thanks.

Ha! I almost ordered the SD Quarter Pounds P/J set at the same time as I was ordering the guitar to take advantage of the sales, but I decided to hold off and give the stock pu's a chance. I put the SD SPD-1 in a vintage Univox P-bass I have and it sounds incredible, so I have a feeling I will end up with Duncan's in this as well.
I think the weight will be pretty light, I seem to recall when I was researching this seeing a weight listed somewhere of under 10 pounds, 9 something. According to the UPS shipping info, the whole package being shipped weighs 11.7 pounds. I guess I will see when it gets here.

Greetings @Suink141! Welcome to TalkBass. Excellent first post and question. You have certainly come to the right place. The answer is YES! A Fender Rumble 500 combo will both meet and exceed all of your pop/punk bass tone needs. Plus it will do a whole lot more too. The modern active EQ section is the very best there is. Rumble On!
