Fender Rumble Club

Wow the craziest (most awesome) things are happening to me, must be the Universe telling me I made a great choice by joining the Rumble club!

Earlier today an old gentleman of about 75-80 years old pings me about the guitar amp I was trying to sell for a while (mainly to recoup on buying the Rumble 200!) and he tells me: I have a Rumble 200 I would trade you for it!!!

I immediately think... sweet, I'll just daisy chain those and start looking around and BAM you guys had just posted about doing exactly that and with awesome diagrams and information!

Now I have a tough choice... I am still within the return period for my new Rumble and find myself with 2 of them... should I just keep em both? :smug:

One little thing that bugged me is, the grill is black instead of the amazing silver of the newer one, does that mean anything (like he spray painted it?) or was there multiple options when they came out with the 200 back in 2014? I looked at everything else and it is exactly the same and plugged in it sounds perfect!

Let me know what you think!

No that wasn't an option, and it means he changed it unless he also bought it used like that. Easy enough to change it back, just costs $$. If you are playing enough to need both, keep both.

YES! Fender has recently released ''Limited Edition'' Rumble combos with black grills! I've only seen the 25 and 100 online. This 200 is a first, IME, but may be a legit very new amp!

My vote: Keep both! Those 2 matched 15'' Eminence drivers pumping out 140 watts each would be Awe-some!!!

That's just the thing... I don't know yet, we rehearse once a week as a band and will gig about once or twice a month at most... not sure it actually makes sense to keep both, other than for the awesomeness and the power push... but I don't think we'll be gigging in venues that require it either, and our PA has subs so I don't need the power to get through to FOH... I will be road testing the used one tonight at rehearsal and see if I trust it at higher volume since it's already been "modded"... then I guess I'll see!

If you did not get the original receipt from the used one, and you got the new one prior to jan 1st, you might want to keep the new one. The 5 year transferable warranty is now a thing of the past. If you got the new one after the new year, and you can get the original sales receipt from the seller of the used one, then return the new one and get a 112 210 or 115 cab to go with the old one.

If you can afford to keep both, keep both, having a backup is nice. My backup is my warranty, which is good till around black Friday 2019. If I buy another rumble, perhaps a head, later on down the road, it will be a used one with original receipt dated prior to 1/1/17. It just makes more sense to me to pay less AND have a longer warranty. Would be a 500, so I can drive my Goliath cabs, and also would have my eye on a rumble 210 to either use under the 200, or make a 112/210 stack.
