Fender Rumble Club

But I'm not sure how to replace the grill, other than building your own. I called Fender and they don't sell them. Although, all the parts are easily available.
The cloth is just stapled to a wooden insert. Unscrew the logo badge, pull the grille out, carefully remove the staples, and pull the cloth off. Stretch silver grille cloth over the insert, staple in place, reattach logo badge, reinsert grille. Job done. :)

Musician's Friend only limited release of a Stealth Gray vinyl with Black grillcloth for 2016 in Rumbles; 25, 40, and 100. I just checked and only some Rumble 25's are left.

Limited Edition also available from Amazon, SD Instruments, Music123 and Guitar Center.

But, yeah, @Dels' 200 doesn't seem to have the gray vinyl. So, it must be a mod, since changing the cloth is so easy, even inexpensive.

In my case, I wanna use the stock silver grill when playing my 500c alone. But, when playing the Rumble with the Bassman 500, I wanna Bassman-ize the Rumble. That's why I called Fender about the cost of a replacement grill that I could easily re-clothe and re-badge. But, since they don't sell the whole assembly,, I'm now considering doing a scratch build.

Remember my rig with the photoshopped 500c grill?

Wow the craziest (most awesome) things are happening to me, must be the Universe telling me I made a great choice by joining the Rumble club!

Earlier today an old gentleman of about 75-80 years old pings me about the guitar amp I was trying to sell for a while (mainly to recoup on buying the Rumble 200!) and he tells me: I have a Rumble 200 I would trade you for it!!!

I immediately think... sweet, I'll just daisy chain those and start looking around and BAM you guys had just posted about doing exactly that and with awesome diagrams and information!

Now I have a tough choice... I am still within the return period for my new Rumble and find myself with 2 of them... should I just keep em both? :smug:

One little thing that bugged me is, the grill is black instead of the amazing silver of the newer one, does that mean anything (like he spray painted it?) or was there multiple options when they came out with the 200 back in 2014? I looked at everything else and it is exactly the same and plugged in it sounds perfect!

Let me know what you think!

I think I might be inclined to see how much GC would give you for the used one. If it was enough to get a rumble 115 cabinet and have a bit left over I would jump on that. That 200 with the 115 extension cab should see you through just about anything.
