Have any of you guys ran a guitar head through your Rumble cabs? . . . .
Are you running bass? If so fine. If not bass, then not so fine. Catch my drift?
I don't like skinny strings plugged into my fat amp.Sorry if I'm slow to catch the drift.![]()
So this beauty came yesterday, 500 combo and 115 cab.
Straight into the practice room last night. Love it.
Didn't get to play around with it too much, but quickly found a setting I liked (vintage + a touch of overdrive is delightful).
Looking forward to having a play this weekend
Welcome Rumbler # 720! Rumble on!Here's my V3 Rumble 200- and soon to add the Rumble 2x10" cab!
The 500 Combo with the 115 cab is my setup of choice - I freaking LOVE it!!!
Welcome Rumbler # 720! Rumble on!
Have you considered adding a 1x15 instead of the 2x10? Having 2 15" speakers working together is an awesome sound.
+1 for the 115 cabinet for the Rumble 200 instead of the 210.Welcome Rumbler # 720! Rumble on!

That little 112 is no slouch under either of the combos either. It plays well with the 200 especially, but it handles the 500 well too I hear. Best compromise to a larger 115 cabinet until fender finally hears my request to make a 115 in the rumble 200 combo form factor like the 210 is to the 500. It is tighter than the 115 cab, which translates as more punch/less boom, which would be the ultimate match for the 200. In my opinion anyway, because I am not into overly boomy 115 cabs, but I recognize the added headroom a little extra "boom" gives. Thankfully the rumble 200 is not lacking in headroom and the 112 is perfect.I went for the 500c + 210 cab, but I totally get the 115 rigs too. And 100% agree on the vintage plus a touch of OD... Especially playing the jazz...
Fixed it for you.She heard me at church last Sunday and asked why the church band sounded so much fuller. I sense impending boom.
The Rumble 150 is a V2 made from 2010-2013. V1 Rumbles (2003-2009) were all combos. The biggest difference is in the totally redesigned overdrive in the V3 to be more tube like. I like the V2 better as it is more like a pedal and is similar to the EHX Bass Big Muff Pi. The new Rumbles have a 'Vintage' voicing that is most useful for 50's & 60's Rock; Soul, and Blues. Go listen for yourself and hear the difference.I have a 1st generation rumble 150 head. Is the new 200 head worth jumping up to? It doe's seem to have some cool new features.
