I keep Sansamp product with my clean rig. I tried it in front of the Rumble. Once. It's not that it didn't sound good, it was just unnecessary.

How do you make a P-bass sound like anything but a P-bass? It's the ANSI standard sound. A Rumble makes a fair pair with a Precision for your understatement of the day. Get a tweed cable for extra vintage.

I also tried the Fender Bronco, Roland cube and Peavey Vypyr (guitar amp that claims to do bass - it doesn't!) and the Rumble was the clear winner.

The cool things about the 40 is that it has all the features of the higher end models, with the exception of the extra horn and jack for an extension cabinet.

You can have my spot when I retire, but for the time being, get off my lawn!
I gig with a 500 and a 2x10 extension. I would be afraid of a 1000. I've never played anywhere the 500 isn't enough. I've never had the master volume past 12. It usually runs about 9 - 10.

Agreed, I have 500 Head V3 and Ver 2 -2x8 and 112 and its plenty loud, and if I need bigger I have a SWR Golight 410

Hi, my name is Martin and I am a gearaholic...

I picked up a Sterling by MM SUB last week and I just finally found what was right in the world of bass playing for me, between that bass, my Rumble, my Zoom B3n coming in in 10days I believe I am now COMPLETE! (Pick of Destiny anyone?)...

So next thing you know, I am now browsing for deals on the real deal StingRay... or even a EBMM Sterling... my god, does it ever stop? (rhetorical)

I was gonna build one, but I never found a neck. I still have the body(Squier I think) pickguard pickup and bridge. I only play SS now, so it's just collecting dust.
