Fender Rumble Club

Thank you for the reply..sadly...bass cabs are incredibly scarce here outside of 'Live House' clubs that have brought gear in from Shanghai or Beijing and a single kisoc store that can order a Markbass cab...but the cost is 3x stateside costs...so no used cabs...pretty much will have to an online deal or a build..
That being said....I should grab that head...

Who is to say that one day (maybe soon) you will come across a great cab deal like the one you have found for the head?

If you can afford to buy the head and hold out for a decent deal on a cab, sounds like a good plan. You could also keep your eyes open for a broken combo (amplifier part) in need of repair and use that as a cab while the "real deal" comes around.

All I know is that, if in 3 months you suddenly find a great deal on a cab, amps will be stupidly expensive (something to do with a guy called Murphy).

So, what big price differences again between the US and Europe.
The cheapest new (single) one over here costs EUR 387.
That equals to USD 410...so almost the price for the new pair you got.
Musician's Friend and it's sibling Guitar Center are known to sell returns and other open box 'B-Stock' as brand new. However if the cabinets are in mint condition and like new in box, what is the real difference?

Aha, I see. Well, I guess it boils down to if you want to open the brand new factory sealed box yourself - and are willing to pay for it - or you accept them as (semi) new, even though the cabinet was taken out off the box and maybe used a couple of times.

It probably won't matter a bit to the useful play time you can get out of it.

And thus we have the truth. Some will pay more for brand new and never played. Others will look the other way and simply pretend to have brand new & never played. I just want a bottle of Blanton's and a Montecristo #4. Thank You. :smug: Did Someone Say Rumble On!?

My purchase today was for merchandise labeled as "new". They also had "open stock" cabs available.
