Fender Rumble Club

That box sure didn't feel like 18 lbs.

I found that I like the mids bumped up.
Is the Rumble EQ flat at noon?

I know amps like G-K & H&K are definitely not, but I'm not sure about Fender.

From the first picture I thought 40?
Looks like the size mine was...
(I took similar pictures to the first two--as have others)
I too like to bump up the mids.

& I agree with the weight thing--it's my lightest amp, but not my smallest...

Cool--enjoy!

Everyone is fully awake before noon on a Sunday. I just kept turning up the volume until I heard doors opening :smug:
I only got to 1/4 on the Master dial, but had the gain, drive, & level at 3/4.
Nice one friend!

Complaining neighbors are bad neighbors. Just crank it up and they will eventually move away, leaving just good neighbors :D

Hi Everyone, I have a Rumble 40 as a practice amp, and will be buying a 500 Combo at some point. Could I join the Rumble club?

Hey Chicken Wing, I'll bet you can. Just paypall a couple Benjamins to ... :)

A 500 with two tens is a major step up from the 40 with one. You would really unleash the beast with a second cabinet to unlock the reserve 150 watts hiding under the hood of the 500. Good choice for future expansion.

Welcome to the club number sevenhundredsomething.

Thanks! Would I be able to use the 40 as an extension of the 500?

Not w/o hacking a hole in the cabinet & make an extra connection to the driver/speaker.
I wouldn't recommend it though, as the drivers would be unmatch & you might blow the 10" in the 40.

The two 10" inch speakers in the 500 are probably designed for 250 watts each, while the one in the 40 is probably designed for...

Rumble 40 is designed as a stand-alone combo, no external speaker connection, or a send/receive loop.

Thank you, that makes sense. I just started playing with a drummer and two guitarists. We're playing instrumental music and have no gigs in the immediate future. Just for fun, for now. My 40 could not keep up obviously, so right now I am using my Fender 212 DSP Guitar AMP to get me by until I purchase the 500 combo.

I use the effects send (with no effects return) from my 100 to drive the 40's input so I can use both tone-stacks. I see no reason the 500 couldn't be used this way with a longer cable such that you could have the 40 as a monitor pointed at the drummer or simply stacked on the 500 for another speaker. I'm pretty sure the 500 would drown out the 40 in that instance but it's there to be had.

There's nothing in G-K or H&K's manuals about it either, but I can tell you they're scooped & H&K is really scooped.
I'm guessing the Rumbles are flat at noon because of the center indent pots. Could be wrong though. I've never and an amp with Center indent pots on the EQ.

Mine sounds flat with everything at noon. Linnin probably knows.
