Fender Rumble Club

Would any of you fine TBers know where to get a replacement emblem for a new style Rumble cab? I cracked the tail of the F off of mine loading it into the van for a St. Patrick's day gig a few weeks ago, and after casually scouring the internet a few times I can't seem to find anything that's a direct replacement.

Fender has this on their website, and even though it has several holes pre-drilled it doesn't look like any of them match up with the holes on my current. Invalid Link Removed And even if they did, I think it would look silly having all those extra holes.

The cab was bout new by Sweetwater about 3 years ago, do you think they would be any help in getting a replacement? I ordered by phone and got no e-mail confirmation, and the packaging and manual seem to be long gone. Let me know your thoughts Rumblers!

Have you contracted Fender Customer Support? They might be able to help.

I ordered one on Amazon. Actual aluminum logo, nice. It was about eleven bucks total using Prime. They have like three different styles, I ordered a match to the one that comes on the cabinets to put on my 200 combo so the logo on the 115 cab and the 200 combo would match.

Why does that even matter at all?
It matters to some. Me for one - my OCD wouldn't allow me to accept different style logos on the amp and the cab. Then again, it wouldn't allow me to use the 200 and 115 cab together either, because of the different widths. We're all different, but some of us are weirder than others... :roflmao::roflmao:

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on two 1x12 cabinets and a 500 head. Even though the rumble line is considered entry-level, it's still a lot of bread for me. I'm not that guy that swaps gear every other month. This will probably be my last major amp purchase. Any thoughts on build quality/longevity? I'm hoping for the best.

Works good, looks good, sounds good, is good.

Someone did a breakdown on just how Fender can put these together at this price. The strengths were in the electronics and the speakers - where it matters. I think the cost cutting was in the cabinetry and some of the switchgear/pots. Those may require replacement over time but recall that until very recently, all Rumbles came with a 5-year warrantee. That's a lot of faith in a product for a company to back it that well.

So, projecting out to 2020, you may be on the hook for some minor repairs like replacing the input jack or a scratchy volume knob. At that point, should it come to that, the upgrade parts are not much more than the basics and totally worth it if you're handy with a soldering iron. For all that, you get a relatively inexpensive rig that is pound for pound one of the best available, especially in this price range.

I would trust this over some of the johnny-come-lately brands as well as that well established one that rhymes with "Dam Pig".

I bought a 500 head and two of the 112 cabs last May and have not had any issues.

The Master volume control is scratchy .... Probably due to dust as it's next to the fan. Anyhow, I just roll it back and forth a few times before powering up and it's fine. If I do that it's quiet.

I've never pushed the rig hard at all since I've had it. So I can't really advise on the durability of the speakers.

I can say it sounds fantastic though. Easy to dial in the tone I want.

I don't play metal or slap, so can't advise there.

The 500 head and two 112's weigh 67 lbs total. I like that

Late last year I bought a separate 210 cab and 500 head rig as a spare/alternate to my GK....I ended up liking the warmth and the more low-mid focused tone of the Rumble more than the GK(which has since been demoted to backup), i gig and/or rehearse with it weekly and have had no issues. If your gigging with them or hauling them around, set aside a few bucks for some decent covers for the cabinets.

Kinda disappointed that you can't get the five year warranty anymore.

I'm relieved that my receipts are just old enough to be useful four years from now. The prices on the bigger V3 combos also rose by around $50 which is partly why I don't have the 200. The main part was that I already have a doom rig and just wanted something for smaller shows and jamming at home. The 100 and the 40 have served me quite well in that respect. Credit to this thread, 100s of pages of unpaid endorsements are enough. This is the reason I joined TB, great folks participating and giving advice.

Good question. Seems if the hang tag is sold with it, it would be binding.

A piece of paper attached by a string to your new amp validates a 5 year warranty? No. It's all about the date of purchase on your receipt. The stooges at GC never removed the tag off of their old stock and never told you about Fender dropping their warranty from 5 to 2 years? Oh well. It's still all about the date of purchase on your receipt. Purchases made on or after 1-1-2017 have the 2 year warranty. Bottom line.
