Fender Rumble Club

I use my Rumble V3 100 for most gigs (have PA support 100% of the time). There has been a few big stages where I could hear the subs out front over my little amp, but not often. Still, I ordered a 500 2x10 combo since well, I love the tone and more is better, right? :smug:

I'll have the ultimate setup...1x12 combo for most gigs, 2x10 for larger, and if I really need a stack I'll pick up the matching Rumble 15 for the 2x10 combo. Time to sell off everything else ha ha!

That's right! Only more is more, and only Fender Rumbles are more better bass in your face. ;)

Hi, recent new owner of a Rumble 350 head. Gimme a number!

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer in the thread - what is the difference between the Rumble 350 v2 and Rumble 500 v3, aside from mid controls, master/gain controls, and preset tone shaping buttons? Is the preamp structure signicantly different? I also understand the 350 wattage was very conservatively rated - for those who have compared, how much of a difference (if any) in volume is there between the 350 and 500?

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, crunge! :woot: You are member #232 :hyper: Using identical speaker cabinets any volume difference will be negligible. I really like the sweepable fully parametric midrange tone control of the Rumble 350 and therein lies the largest difference.

NFRAD! New (to me) Fender Rumble Amp Day! :woot: Made a great deal with fellow Rumble Club member Scungilli (#170) on a 'Like-New-In-Box' V3 Rumble 25. It arrived yesterday evening. I didn't need it by any means, but I have a weakness for cute little bass amps, and couldn't turn it down. I gave it a work out this morning, and that little sucker is alright! And cute. And you can jam with a bongo player. Of course it sounds better with a good set of headphones (that cost more than the amp :headphone:) , but it is cute. :p

 Rumble On!

FYI: Fender is taking care of me big time on this knob issue. I won't go into details, but I'm extremely pleased. Fender's customer service of late is exemplary; and this is for a Rumble, not a Custom Shop bass!

Otherwise...
I used the double-amp (500 combo, and 500 head with the GK 115-3) last night in a difficult room, and other than being too loud, it sounded awesome - it added depth that I could never get in that room before. I don't know what Fender did, but the Rumble whomped every amp I've ever used there - I'm a fan of micro amps, and in that room I've tried Markbass, GK, Ashdown, Roland, Ampeg. None were as good as either Rumble. I was switching back and forth between the combo and head/cab, and either one sounded great, but together it was just beef-a-plenty!

Also, I tried the trick about ganging the two heads together using the send/return of each respective amp. It worked, but essentially had the same effect of just running 2 cabs; I didn't have any control over the second head outside of what the 1st amp (the combo) was doing.

Someone suggested to sell everything and buy these new Rumbles. I might do just that.

I stayed up late last night playing the 200. this amp is able to cover any style of music and sound very good doing it! I'm not able to crank it up in the house, everything vibrates. I will be bringing the rumble out to a gig tonight. mostly 60's rock, blues, some country and folk. this amp is replacing a ba 115 that was on lone to me from a fellow bassist. I'm really looking forward to playing it out tonight. oh, thanks for the number linnin!!:bassist:

Rumble 500 lucky day! Just happened to walk into my local GC and there it was --a brand new Rumble 500 combo! So I grabbed it, played a few bars of "Money" just to prove to everyone that I don't really know what I'm doing and took that baby home! Number please?

 Rumbles Rock! :smug:

I will be taking a Rumble 500 Combo for a spin tomorrow. I currently have a Peavey TKO 65 with a Black Widow 15-inch speaker that I have owned for 25 years. So I may become an "owner" tomorrow.
Any thoughts on how it will compare to my "vintage" amp other than being a lot lighter?

I use a Peavey combo at practice. The Rumble is warmer and clearer, with a nice fatness compared to the Peavey. I can get a decent tone out of the Peavey, but I find myself messing with the eq much more. Set everything at noon on the Rumble and plug in. Maybe add some high mids, maybe cut a bit of bass. Nice and easy.

Hey folks, member 207 checking in with some gig details from the maiden club voyage of my Rumble 500. I knew it would sound good at the medium sized club we played at last night, but I didn't know how much booty it was going to put out. Volume at about 11 o'clock, gain at 10, bass at 8, low mid off, high mid at 9 o'clock, treble at 9 o'clock. Plenty of volume and there was some chest pounding rumble coming out of this thing with my music man. There was a lot of booty in this place too and all alcohol aside, this thing attracted the booty as well. Got some nice looks as the ladies walked by or danced in front. I will try this again and hope the trend continues! Rumble on my Rumble brothers!
