Here is a Fender/Squire P J bass I purchased at a local music store. It has a Fender neck, but I am unable to identify the year because the serial numbers are not on the headstock. The body from what I was able to research is a Squire P Bass special body which Squier made from 1998 to 2008. I installed a Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge which is awesome and highly recommend. Next I plan to install a set of Dimarzio DP 126's. I am choosing these due to the many peoples recommendations on one of my previous post. I'll post again when the pups are installed.

I'm also curious how you confirmed the Fender neck/Squier body.

And pics would help.

There is no stamp on the headstock. I confirmed the body by comparing it by one I saw on the web, same color. The Squier had a matching color headstock. Sorry about the picks I am having trouble posting them.
