Fender to Warwick is like
Ford to BMW,
Budweiser to Becks,
Britney Spears to Heidi Klum....
...where was I...
What really puzzles me about your choice is that going from a MIA P to a MIM P really seems to me like a step backwards. Fender's always been music for the masses, and I personally wouldn't be without my MIM Jazz, but Warwick's a different deal altogether.
I've played the cheapest new Corvette money can buy (4 string, natural Ash, passive pups) and it still knocks a MIA Fender out of the water sound and build quality wise, even though it's only £100 more than a MIM P.
My advice is don't stop at the cheapest Corvette. Get something in bubinga, maple, afzelia or ovangkol, and be prepared to never touch the Fender again.
