Fender strings, does anyone of you use them?

Hello guys

I have rencently bought a Fender American Ultra jazz bass V and it comes with Fenders 7250 (45-125). I have always stayed away from Fender strings because I have been told that they are really bad. Actually, I have had many Fenders and I have never really liked the stock strings... but in this bass they sing. I have always used Dunlop, Ernie Ball or D'addario XLs. I have actually tried most of the strings in the market and I am really impressed with these Fenders. Does anyone of you use them regularly?
I use Fender 7150 strings on some of my Thunderbird basses. Love em!

Same

Well, for me it's Earnie Ball . . . as in . . .

"Love me some Fender strings. Nothing wrong with them. If Earnie Ball ever goes out of business then I'll switch full time to Fender."

and on a semi-side note I bought a set of Hybrid Slinkys for my Squier CV 70s P (Same gauges as the Fender strings 45-65-85-105) and those thing have a full-on piano sound (Bass knobs dimed- amp knobs flat) :bassist:

Man, every EB string set I ever bought would die and sound dull without days and I’m not a daily player. My current Rotosounds on my Precision was put on five months ago and moderate usage. Still has some zing.

I use the Fender 7250M's on my Precision bass, the nickel plated rounds they put on stock. I've tried different brands, but the Fender strings sound better to me on my Fender. I've tried them on other brand basses I have and they didn't sound so good. But they work well with the Fender, as they were designed to go with the pickups

I used to use the 9120 Tapewounds occasionally, and liked them.

Otherwise, I’ve found the 7250’s to be a perfectly serviceable nickel plated roundwound. Comparable to similar offerings from other brands.

I’ve been curious about the 7150 pure nickels but haven’t had a chance to try them. Not many shops in my area carry Fender strings.

The 9050MLs are my choice for flats. They’re as good as anything out there and suit my tone and feel preferences perfectly. I’ve tried out a LOT of strings over the years. A lot of people with opinions are just repeating things that sound provocative. Fender strings are fine, and it only makes sense that they would be a worthy option for many players.

I bought a couple of sets, one 45-125 and one 45-100 to both of my jazz basses. They are more o less the same as Ernie Ball roundwounds. So I will take them into account in the future.

I think my first bass teacher put some "wrong" ideas in my brain that have been there forever.

I always suggest to beginners or those thinking of a new brand: always start with "Fenders on a Fender"...multi million dollar guitar company has surely spent tons of time and research on getting the best matching pieces of the whole sound/tone/feel equation for their instruments/reputation

love the Fender 9050 flats
(my sig info will disprove some of my claim and this is inspiring me to go shopping for more 9050's :);))
