can anyone comment on the B-string of this bass? I know especially with Fenders and B-strings, there can be a serious hit or miss factor between different basses even of the same model - is this bass the same?

can anyone comment on the B-string of this bass? I know especially with Fenders and B-strings, there can be a serious hit or miss factor between different basses even of the same model - is this bass the same?
I never met a B string on a fender MIA I didn't like. The VB sig B string is very nice.
I also believe Fender ships their VB 5s with a tapered core B string. To me it makes all the difference.can anyone comment on the B-string of this bass? I setup tapered core strings on my Marcus Miller V and it literally changed the whole thing!
And without trying to hijack this thread if anybody can compare the neck feel of the Victor Bailey 5 vs. the neck feel of the Marcus Miller 5... it is hard to find VB 5 to try...
The only VB 5er I have played was terrible. BUT....it has been on the wall of a local retailer for over a year. The strings aren't the best and the action seemed high.
I agree it's all about setup. My MM5 was so-so till I had it setup... now it's almost perfect!

I tried one and the B was great on it no probs I was pretty impressed with this bass overall for the pricetag.
