Fender vs. Gibson (Squier vs. Epiphone)

I have three Gibsons (EB-2, SG Bass and SG Six String) and three Fenders (American Mustang, Strat and Tele).
In all cases I prefer Gibson. The Fenders feel clumsy, heavy and less refined. I'm gifting the Strat and will probably sell the Tele. I'm keeping the Mustang just because it's pretty sunburst with a black pickguard and makes my bass collection look complete (at least one Fender).

That DC Jr is a great little bass , and with the single pickup in the sweet spot is fairly similar in many ways to a Pbass.
