Fender's new Aerodyne line

So Fender is offering up 6 new offerings out of Japan under the Aerodyne name.

1400 bucks.

Played one of the original PJ Aerodynes this weekend (belonged to a friend). A very nice bass.

Can't say I'm too excited about these basses, but I do like that they're using the Babicz Z Series FCH bridge. I have one on one of my Warmoth basses and I think they're great.

Was looking at these the other day, I love the look of the Dolphin Grey. Interested to see how the pickups sound on these first though and if there is noticeable neck dive due to the basswood body.

I want to get excited about these, but the features are a bit underwhelming considering the price.

I still prefer my original series Black Aerodyne J Bass. But the Blue one is pretty cool looking.

I think they look like those Charvel basses. Really expensive as well. I wanted to be more excited about them. Having said that..my black PJ Aerodyne is my main bass. I love it..

I liked the old Aerodynes, but I don't love these new colors. I'd rather get an older one and throw a Babicz bridge on it.

Without the pick guard and control plate orienting things, the knobs look out of place on the Jazz versions. I know they aren’t by comparing standard Jazz pictures to the new aerodynes, but the look is strange.
