FIFA World Cup 2014

The sport actively encourages first fights between players, what more inclination do you need?

Not true, you get a penalty for that.

I'm sorry if you guys find these jokes old & lame & whatever. I only get into it (if you can call it that) every four years, so not only have I not heard or told all the jokes, but this is the only time I get into soccer banter at all. I think it's really fun coming in here & making a fool of myself with actual soccer guys. And I respectfully keep my nonsense clear of the English league thread.

There. Now suck it up, you sissies.

That's my boy.

Telly? Telly? GGA has to be enjoyed live from a pitch that wouldn't do for 4rd division soccerball team. Unless it's a final, in which case a proper stadium is acceptable.

Totally agree DS and spend many an hour in that state...but for these people who don't have the sense to inhabit our green and pleasant land, they would see players who make the Knights Who Say Ni look like a bunch o' pansies...

Fair enough indeed.

Hell, the bloody kids leagues are more dangerous than most of these professional sports. Which probably should be expected if you give kids (relatively)heavy planks of wood, hop them up on sugar, and rile them up against other kids. Ahhhhhh, Ireland.
