Filter Pedal Order

So, I have basically two sections to my board.

Up top I've got tuner->EQ->Compressor->Octabvre->TWA Great Divide->Meatbox->SA After Shock

Down low, I recently put the Ottobit Jr(bit crusher, sequencer, stutterer) after modulation (Xerograph Deluxe and Night Wire Tremolo) but before Delay (Nemesis). But, the bit crusher seems to be begging to go before the modulation.

Furthermore, months ago I had a TWA Little Dipper. Like a vocal formant filter that has two filters sweeping against each other. Somewhere between a quacky filter with distortion and a talk box, perhaps comparable to the EHX Bass Balls.

I had to send that a away for repair and it has finally returned, but they sent it to my old address and I'm yet to go pick it up a town over.

In the meantime, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna put that Little Dipper on one side or the other of the Xerograph Deluxe (which is a beautiful LPF w/expression and an envelope filter in one). I think I'm leaning towards putting it after, of only to help reign in the ultra-low frequency sweeps of the LPF.

I've got my board torn apart right now to move the bit crusher (going to put it just after the SA After Shock) and was just thinking before cabling everything up, I should conceptualize where that Little Dipper is going to go when I finally get the time to go pick it up in a couple days.

The basic question/answer to this would be "before or after the Xerograph Deluxe?"

Unless I've missed some other major pedal order thing, in which case, fire away!

One if the tricks the IE is good at USA pseudo gate. With little resonance, you can use the filter to open and close quickly, but limit how open it goes, thus reducing noise in the higher frequencies. With the LPF in the Ottobit ahead of the Little Dipper, you have some of that sound covered as it is. Another handy use is volume control.

Best guess without hooking it all up and testing is put the XD close to the end, and other filters before it.

Edit: the XD does it's warble sound really well too, which would probably be better ahead of the Little Dipper...

Thanks Alien8, def helped clarify exactly what I'm going to do. You helped inspire me to get the Xerograph Deluxe in the first place, and a big thank you for that as well. Easily one of my most favorite and sonically powerful pedals (on a board full of all-stars).

Are you talking about like rolling off high end, perhaps by utilizing an expression pedal with the Xerograph? I know that they recommend the MOOG expression pedal to do that because it has the parameter adjustment. But I have a Dunlop mini, which is connected to an expressionator. And I believe the expressionator has a function like that where you can set the upper limit. But have been putting off getting into it (I kinda like having the full range to play with, even if I stay in a "sweet spot")

That is the main problem I'm getting with the Ottobit Jr, order wise, other than tracking concerns. Is the high end hiss that is pervasive throughout the filter sweep of the Xerograph Deluxe, when I drop the sample rate on the Ottobit Jr (which is in itself a dope tone, but it wants to be tamed).

Granted, if I knew what I was doing I would be using the LFO in the Ottobit Jr to tame that high end sizzle. But, I don't have that quite dialed in yet as far as work flow goes. And the Xerograph Deluxe is automatic when it comes to getting the expression pedal thwacking.

At any rate, I'm stoked to see what stacking my Little Dipper on top of all this wildness is going to do. I can already hear where it's going to sit when it's right and it's going to be filthy!
