I just bought a GK backline 600 (300w 4ohms) as my first head, and I was wondering if an Eden 212xlt (400w 4ohms) would complement it well and help me get the tone I want. Tone I want is something that can growl, snap, be crunchy, or a smooth tight sound. Bassists Im trying to emulate are Ryan martinie mainly, but also flea, justin chancellor, and matt freeman.
I was mainly thinking about GK or warwick, but warwicks too expensive, and GK cabs never seem to pop up on the classified section....so should i wait or settle?

That sounds like a good choice. It cracks me up a little when I see guys running the same head you have into an Ampeg 8x10 with 37.5 watts per speaker, and others complaining that they just blew up their 1x12 or 2x10 box for the fifth time. That cab should be about right, and it would be worth keeping if you get something a little more powerful later.

Whether it sounds good to you is another matter. Try before you buy if possible.
