Finally! All our problems are solved!

Over 2200 pedals... What's missing? What would it take to get you to try it?
Unless I don't understand what the site is telling me, every pedal I click on says "notify me when this product is in stock." As an end user I don't know if I should interpret that as it is currently out to someone else, or that you don't have it unless I request it.
Now, that might change if I sign up for a subscription. I don't know that and as a user would be worried that I am signing up for something that I can't use because none of the pedals are "available."

I'm going to put on my beta tester\QA hat for a moment: What it would take for me to try it would be a read out of the number in stock for me try, or at the very least link that says "rent me."
To say "notify me when this product is in stock" tells the user that it isn't currently available and discourages the sale. Even if that isn't what is happening (because it does currently take you to a login\signup screen) the doubt that the product is even available is still in my mind. Linking a database to the page that confirms availability would encourage the feeling of instant gratification that could be had by subscribing, or create a sense of urgency to get the one you have in stock before someone else does.
Something else that is confusing about the website's interface is that if I click on the Manufacturer drop down menu and look for Dwarfcraft for instance, there is a (4) next to them. Four what? Four pedals? If I select it, I go to a page with 16 pedals on it. Are only 4 of those 16 available? Many of the manufacturers have a (1). That tells me there might be only one pedal from that manufacturer available.

Thank you for the detailed reply!

You're absolutely right about the availability shown. I get it. It's currently showing sale-able stock, not rent-able stock information. And we're fixing that - it's just an inventory management system integration away (one-click integration my ass).

I'm not sure about the number count, though. That is supposed to be a category-count, but maybe it's not getting indexed/updated correctly. I'll check it out.

I usually charge $25 an hour for Website QA work. This one is a freebie ;)
Integrated databases into websites is common, but that doesn't make it any easier. Especially since web design and database architecture are two different disciplines. Real time inventory on websites is almost impossible due to refresh times. Most stores like Guitar Center or Lowes try to give a general available or not indicator.
The wording as is feels ambiguous and slightly negative. Just changing that would help.
