Finally an affordable signal blender!

I finally got the proper cables and everything to set up Signal Blender. I must say, it’s a lot of fun. Bottom row are the somewhat practical effects (Channel A). Top row are the wild ones (Channel B). It’s really cool running Channel A (Drive > Phaser > Reverb) in parallel with the Spatial Delivery (channel b) in sample/hold mode.
This thing is very well thought out. Momentary switching opens up so many more options. I love momentarily stepping on 2 channels at once with one on and one off. The channels swap as long as you’re holding the switches. Does that make any sense?

So, question for you: does it add hiss? I'm extremely picky about added noise, something every blender I've ever tried has had issue with.
I was actually concerned with this myself, as I have never ran even close to this many effects at once. I was anticipating some noise. I haven’t experienced any hiss from the blender itself. I’ll investigate a little closer and see if I hear anything.
Is there a clean channel running in parallel with the two effects loops on the LS-2? Always wondered that but never asked.
only 2 loops, so you put your effect in one loop and your other loop is the clean by using the A+B Mix (no need to put a cable between send & return in your clean loop).
Correct, though you can have a chain of pedals in B as well as A, as long as all the pedals are off in one of them, that'll be your clean blend. So yea, only one chain with one clean signal mix (no jumper cable required.)
I love that LS-2 and I still have one for a 2nd board, but the way the in&out + the 2 send&return jacks are all crowded close together on the sides was giving me cabling difficulties.
I just threw down for a barely used EHX Switchblade Deluxe Pro for the other board, and as well as having better spaced send&return jacks on top, it allows for 2 lines of effects in parallel or series (A->B or B->A) in addition to a clean signal, and all 3 have independent volumes.
The Blender sure does look interesting though!
(So far I've managed to stay away from enclosures of that size)
Question regarding the SB...
Is there such a thing as one (that isn't a digital multi unit) that can reverse the order of your effects in a given loop? I don't even see how that's possible, but I thought I had glimpsed something to that 'effect' at a time when I wasn't really paying much attention to effects.

Ah, I see. Phase inversion options, turning each loop and/or dry channel off whenever I like, momentary switching, top jacks. These all put signal blender ahead of the LS-2 in my eyes.
I had an LS-2 for years, loved it dearly, then began running into the aforementioned phase issues.
The issue I encountered was: as I was seeking unity gain from blending 2 loops, I would hear a somewhat drastic 'thinning' of the signal, and neither loop would sound 'right' mixed.
I wanted to be ok with it and just find usable sounds, but that's not quite how it went. Frustration found me.
Then, over time, I sold off most of my effects (including the LS-2).
Now though, the pendulum is swinging again and I find myself with an octave pedal that needs a touch of boost in volume, and an awesome gated fuzz that is in desperate need of an 'inside voice' (lower volume).
This signal blender looks so damn good to me,

(I have read some less-than-favorable reviews of the EHX Tri, as well as some positive ones...BUT,volume knobs in and out of the loops as well as phase adjustments...wooo!)

The EHX Tri-Parallel Mixer is cheaper, got 1 loop more, as well as more features, including a phase inverter for each loop, which will be crucial for use with a lot of fuzzes and some distortion pedals.
If you are asking me, then no, but strongly considering buying one.
Right now I use my trusted Boss LS-2, but using more than 1 pedal in the effects loop that I don't use for clean blend I could really need more independent loops.
The EHX seems like the perfect solution for that to me.
I really wish the Boss LS-2 would have had a separate clean blend, so I wouldn't have to use one of it's 2 effects loops for that.
you should definitely consider the Old Blood one as well. I’m loving mine!
The momentary/latching switches add some amazing possibilities! It wasn't something I thought much about when buying, but it's my favorite feature now.
