Finally! An amp for Tombowlus

I think I finally solved the mystery... What if Tombowlus wanted to plug all his cabinets in at once, and use ALL TUBE power for it.

We've already established that it would produce about 178db and require approx 30,000 watts. So how does he get that in a tube amp?

With this if course...

FYI: That's a computer! You can over 300 KW out of two tubes; they just have to be the right kind.

I got that. I just wanted to point out that KW and even MW tube amps are actually pretty common.

Which brings us back to the question posed in the thread about his cabs.... what preamp would you use for a 300MW tube amp?

Obviously something solid state, maybe with some tube-like qualities... maybe an RBI? A Line 6 BOD?

Now here's one where the tube amp doubters might actually have a point with that whole "cost-of-retubing" thing.

It would take 2 weeks just to set the bias. Or worse, troubleshoot it to find the faulty tube.
