Finally brokedown...GAS Pains releaved

Alright...

After reading tons and tons of material about the douglas fretless 6 string here on talkbass I finally ordered one! I have always wanted a 6 string and a fretless and for $110 I can't lose!!! AND that flame burst top is just so puuuurty!!!!... the GAS was just way too overpowering and I gave in. I can't wait for it to get here so I can play it!!!

Check it out;

Sometimes I have trouble understanding how deals like this are even possible. I mean, parts alone, and then labor, it seems unreal that the company can turn a profit. Great for you and us for sure, and it looks sweet in the pics, but I just don't get it.

Get a factory somewhere in the far East that forces its employees to work for next to nothing, and anything is possible.

Sweet bass, hope it works out well!

I've been looking at one of these lately as well... The Brice basses on Ebay also.

C'mon, what's the catch? Is there a catch? It's unbelievably cheap and the pics look great.

Someone?

They sound, feel and Play like something that cost about 300-400 bucks. The only catch is if you want something better then that these aren't an option.

You guys must be new around here. Look at my sig.

Look at these pictures:

and hopefully you can guess what I think of them!

As for ordering from Rondo, Rondo put the "service" in customer service, they are reasonable, responsive and for all the stuff I've ordered from them, reliable!

I just got in today the SX SJB-62 4+1 5-String Blue Fretless Bass.

I like everyone else read all these posts about SX basses and like everyone else figured "what the heck". Cost me $149 including shipping. It is light, the neck was straight and it sounds ok except for the low B string which sounds like an elephant farting. Im going to change the flatwounds and gonna experiment with some tapewounds and string it EADGC. Many other people have changed out electronics and Pups and said they sound pretty good so I think Im gonna do the same. I figure this is a great bass to learn how to change things out. The neck feels pretty good so I figure once I swap out all the parts and invest $200-$300 in quality replacements, Ill have a jazz bass Id feel comfortable playing in public. Yeah I know for the same money I could have bought a Fender MIM, but this way Ill end up with better pups and electronics and the know how to work on basses in the future.
