As for ordering from Rondo, Rondo put the "service" in customer service, they are reasonable, responsive and for all the stuff I've ordered from them, reliable!

Alright...

After reading tons and tons of material about the douglas fretless 6 string here on talkbass I finally ordered one! I have always wanted a 6 string and a fretless and for $110 I can't lose!!! AND that flame burst top is just so puuuurty!!!!... the GAS was just way too overpowering and I gave in. I can't wait for it to get here so I can play it!!!

I have the Trans Green fretted version of this bass on order from Rondo. Same price. This will make three basses that I have ordered from them. My first active bass. For what you get, Rondo's prices are almost unbelieveable.

What's it most comparable to in the Fender line? Squier? MIM? CIJ?

Most folks here have compared them to MIM Fenders as far as quality/sound/fit and finish.

Ill find out soon enough, I just ordered the trans. blue quilted 6-er.

Only be aware that the neck is a LOT fatter in both the Jazz and Precision models. I've had both and couldn't get used to it. The bodies are solid Alder and Ash, which is something you don't necessarily get with cheaper basses. IMO, the hardware is decent and works fine. You may want to change out the pots, but it's not necessary. I would personally put them comparable to the Squier regular line. (not the VM line)

yep1 I want the fretless 6, the jazz 5 too, besides what I ordered. Just a few months ago, I thought I was through with GAS.

That was before TB introduced me to Rondo...

I just bought the SX SPB-57 from Rondo a couple of weeks ago... arrived right on time and without much need of a setup, outside of tuning up and raising the action a little bit. I'm definitely going to be throwing more business their way... my experience with them is this: I received a good sounding, solid bass for ridiculously cheap ($109). You can't beat that if you have severe GAS like I did (well, still do...).
