I love it and especially the Wenge neck. I've been on eBay looking at Wenge necks and there are a lot of 20 fret ones from China . Did you get yours from China and if so which vendor? Since you've had such good luck with them I'd like to try one.Hi all. Just finished my parts p-bass. It's not perfect, but I'm happy! It might not be everyone's "cup of tea" but here it is!

I most certainly will. Thanks man! It sounds pretty good, but I think I'm going to change the DR Nickels to some Dunlop Flats. I play around a lot with different strings & pickups to try get the specific tone and output I like & I'm pretty sure the Dunlop Flats will get me there. Plus, I'll play around with the pickup height.
When you get your P-bass fixer-upper sorted, don't forget to share it with us!!![]()
I just have to find " the strings" that complement the pickups, the tone I like and my playing style. I'm leaning towards Dunlop Flats.....congrats!it looks perfect to me --- i'm sure you're gonna have some fun with this one!

Well, Howie……….
You created me a big problem : all of the basses I will now see in any music stores will look totally uninteresting !
Stunning build and color match that will definitely stand out on a stage.
TB members often impress me a lot…………….
And if I may ask : do you know if those dark brown necks are rather stable lets say compared to maple or roasted maple ?
I'd like to try a wenge neck, but worried about neck dive. How does your bass balance?

I have built /parted together a couple P basses lately and there is a passive tone circuit on ebay made by Keller Sound. Top shelf pots and jack, an a push/pull tone pot that is out of this world. You will think it has an extra pickup. No soldering either! I know you are done with your build but this is a great upgrade for $50.
