Soundwise, I've found myself preferring the parallel setup. All three pickup settings are very useable though, series is EXCELLENT for when you need that extra bit of agression on your tone. People say that the stingray is more agressive in general than the sterling, and I'd agree with that, but series mode gives you an insight on how crazy a series stingray could be
All these observations are from solo play only, I'm yet to test it out in a band situation. I'm sure it'll monster it though
