Finally Pulled The Trigger EBMM

Jumped into the deep end of the pool last week. And ordered a MusicMan 4HH with the roasted maple neck. I wasn’t expecting what I got. This is without any doubt the best Bass guitar I’ve ever owned For the price. The build Quality is first class. As is the hardware. The neck feels fantastic and looks great. Ordered from Sweetwater good customer service. Had them put on a fresh set of strings and do a setup. Just like I wanted. Picture posted.

Music Man probably has the best quality control of any mass producer of basses. G&L is very close, but I think EBMM consistently makes fives with better performing B strings. Now that Music Man has seriously attacked the weight issue, I think there really is no daylight between EBMM and boutique makers.

Congrats! The roasted maple neck and stainless frets are features that I wish were on all of my guitars.

I have roasted necks and stainless frets on ally my basses, except for the one which.....doesn't have frets. The one drawback to stainless frets is, if you don't get your finger in the right place, they let you know a little more than on nickel frets - there's more "clank" to a poorly fretted note. It forces you to be a bit more accurate in your fingering, which, if you also play fretless, is not really a bad thing.
