Fingerboard dots question!

what the different between the eyebirds location on the neck?
so examples!
why in these picture the eyebirds location in that way?
and the other picture in a different way?

Ahhh, I see that you mean the dot inlays. It's just a different style. There's no real reason for it, it's just aesthetics. They are still in the same fret locations.

Not only that, I think they have it that way because most people play heavier strings for lower registers, and lighter gauges for solos..so they put the dots closer to those areas of relevance.
