Fingerboard Wood? Ash body, ash neck

Hey, I am building a jazz bass that is going to have an ash body and an ash neck. I am wondering what you would recommend for a fingerboard wood and why. From what I have read, an ash body with an ash neck with a maple fingerboard has a very punchy tone. I was wondering what would happen if I used an ash body with an ash neck with a rosewood or ebony fingerboard, or any other combination.

I would use cocobolo or ebony. Mostly because it would provide a nice contrast to the whiteness of the ash.

i'd go with pau ferro, great combination of clarity and roundness. year ago i made hard ash body+walnut neck+pau ferro fboard and i like the 'musicality' of this combination very much.
