Finished my SX Practice P

Just bought a black/maple "vintage" P to leave at the drummers house where we practice.

I made some changes and now I like it so much I take it home after practice.

I added a string thru fender bridge from my MIA Jazz that was sitting in a closet and a quart pounder that was in a bass I never play.
I also put on a tort pick guard and had the frets dressed along with a set of DR Hi beams and a set-up.

Dang.....is all I can say. It is much lighter than my Fender J and sounds great........I might just be falling in love with that P bass tone. Time will tell.........my J may have to go in favor of a real P now!

and two more shots.......

Very nice, Dude!! I have a little project to make a bass to leave in the practice room too. A black "Stinger" bass w/ maple fretboard. I have quite a few extra Fender P bass parts that line up perfectly on it. The good news is , the neck is very good and w/ all the Fender electronics and hardware, when its done it will be a "Fender/Stinger" or affectionatly, a "F-inger"

that looks awesome but it will be better if you put a mirror pickguard on it. Also I note that all the bassplayers that uses quarter pound they put the one with the "bass line" logo in the right spot. Well... all the bassplayers except you! jeje
