I need to get some "real" Jazz Bass knobs for it, but that will have to wait till I get back from my trip. I used what I had, and the chrome domes were it unfortunately.

aesthetically, I'd tint the fret markers brown. I think it'd match nicely with the brown/tort you have going on.

I'll probably do a bunch of things to it if I keep it. I really just wanted to toss it together before I go out of town.

how do the Bill Lawrence PU's sound?

I haven't had a chance to try it on the big amp, but they sound great direct and are dead quiet, even next to my computer monitor. I'll know more once I get them on a gig (when I get back)/
 
Firemist? I'd call that color combination molten pumpkin, but that's just me. :D

That IS a beautiful color. In addition to that tort, I'd bet it would also look pretty awesome with any number of pickguard colors. I'm thinking black, chrome, brass, gray, perloid colors, etc...
