I had an active 5 string Fender Precision Deluxe but I didn’t like the wide spacing. I prefer passive basses too so I decided to make my own. I couldn’t find a Precision style pickup that had narrow spacing so I went with a Nordstrand Big Split.
The body is Fijian mahogany, the neck is from Allparts. Finished it Thursday night and took it to a friends to play yesterday. It sounds great. I’m pretty happy with it.
