First Bass Amp you ever had?

A Peavey Mark IV head with a Peavey 2x15 Black Widow cab bought brand new (by mom for me) in March, 1987. The head was stolen from the band's rehearsal place in 1993. Sold the cab like three years ago, but still use it in some of my tropical music gigs.

Peavey Mark IV head w Acoustic (it said Mr. Acoustic on the back)215 cabinet......I bought it on Cape Cod in 1989 where I was stationed in the Coast Guard. I didn't own a practice amp for another 7 years. I just played through the monster at "bedroom levels"...it actually could go pretty quiet

The first I used was a fender 15 watt ( on loan from a friend until I bought my own) , I bought my first and as yet only amp in a Behringer bxl3000, loud enough for home, church, or ... maybe ... a large ampitheater

Same here. I got mine in '79 with my T-40. I lent it to my ex-brother and he sold it to get a bag of weed... I never even got a pull.

looked like this but with a big toothpast stain on it , it was used and came with my first bass a used dean edge that was 2003 i think. I had that 3 years before i moved up to a fender bassman 150.

This amp sucked it was probably blown , someone gave me 50$ for it.

Behringer Thunderbird BX108. Actually sounded really good.. Wish I'd kept it. It had an RCA input, before I knew what an RCA input was for.. This was ~7 years ago.

My first Amp was a Gorilla 30w also. I bought it in 1988 because I always thought "Gorilla" was just a really cool name for an amplifier. I dont use it anymore but I still own it. Too sentimental to part with it.

1963 Ampeg B12 fliptop. Bought used in 1964 for $50 from a friend who got drafted.

Still have it? I`ll give you $100 for it ! My first amp was a RMS brand 45W w/ 1x8. Bought new around `95 for $99. Still have it.

my first bass amp was a 1967 Heathkit TA-38, which i had to build myself. i still have the head part of it.
before the Heathkit, in '66 my Dad installed an input jack on a Philco tube radio and i practiced thru it. it actually sounded pretty good, but didn't have much volume.

When I decided I wanted to learn bass as well as guitar, my mom surprised me with a '62 Precision ('burst, tort) she got from her hairdresser for $100.

Played it through my Peavey Mace guitar stack.
160 watt tube power section (6 x 6L6GC) through two 4x12" cabinets.
I could shake the whole street.

Still have the Mace head and am going to get it tuned-up for another go.

mine was a 1973 Plush 1060-s. Bought it from a pawnshop with the matching cab in 1985 for 100.00 and All I remember about that day was I had to call my brother to bring his stationWagon because the cabinet would not fit in my car --hahah
