First bass

i will buy my first bass in these days and I was undecided to buy this [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or this one Action, the price is the same but i don't really know what is the better. Can you suggest me which of these buy?

I'd say that they are both about equal quality wise. I personally love Ibanez but I like the P/J pickups on the Cort more than the J/J pickups on the Ibanez. Either would make a decent beginner bass.

I would strongly recommend purchasing a higher quality used bass even if you need to wait a while. In the meantime, your store may offer the option of renting a bass. I purchased an inexpensive Ibanez as my first bass and felt I needed to upgrade within three months. Ultimately it cost me money because I didn't buy a decent quality bass the first time. I'm not sure I would ever purchase new again -- there are so many mint condition used basses available at half the price. Check out the "Classified" section on Talkbass -- I'm sure you will find something for sale in your neighbourhood even if you are from another country! Good luck!

I began with an Ibanez GSR200EX, which basically is a 180 with double humbucker and active electronics. The neck, bridge and tuners are exactly the same. I'm playing my Ibanez for over a year now and I still love it. To make sure you buy the right thing, I'd try as many basses as possible, or ask an experienced bass player to come along and advise.

Ibanez are fine instruments, but many people often grow disenchanted with them, just saying.

That's true but the higher end soundgear models play very nicely, especially if you take the time and effort to set them up correctly. I have an old SR-890 that plays just as well as many of the high end basses I've played with the exception of the Ken Smith I played yesterday....drooool....I must have that bass.

Go used as everyone is telling you. There is a Europe classifieds on this site
For Sale: Europe & International - TalkBass Forums

not much on there right now. you could also get a much better bass for the money even if you had to ship it over from the states. cheapest i have found the sr300 online was 276 euros which works out to roughly 392 USD. here are a couple great basses for UNDER the price of the sr300 new and you will still have money left over for shipping.

Cheaper and higher quality then the sr300 there's more on the classifieds. I am in no way affiliated with the sellers.
