While I was waiting for the lacquer to cure, I started on a second build. I'll start a new thread as soon as I find some time, but I thought I'd display a preview.
That looks awesome. Did you carve those?
I wish! No, they are maple onlays, I found on-line. I have to get a bunch more, to fill this wing, and the other. They're expensive, so I have to pay down the credit card before I place a new order.
Thank you. It's a bit ambitious based on my experience, or rather, lack thereof, but I'm giving it a shot.

Funny that you mention a pick stash location. On my Ibanez P-Bass, I just slip a pick between the body and pick guard when it's not in use, so it's always there when I need it. On the Reformer, there's no pick guard, and I haven't found a good place yet. Maybe on the strap. This next build will solve the problem

Not a problem. I have a little work left on this build - I ordered a set of standard volume controls, and I'd like to build a case. It doesn't quite fit in my P-bass case. I think it's best to keep the builds in separate threads.
