First electric guitar (Strat), need tremolo adjustment help

when I was a member of a Strat owner's group I'd inquire about the vibrato arms & 9 times out of 10 if it didn't have a vibrato arm they had blocked it.

Ha, maybe. I dropped out of there when I got a warning from the group Admin just for inquiring about the missing vibrato arms. Apparently folks get offended about being asked if they have the vibrato arm.

Since I'm left handed, if I did want a real Fender Stratocaster (which I don't; my Epi Sheraton II is more my style), I would have to buy the tremolo model; my only choices are Black, Olympic White, or 3 tone Burst. And the white option is a 33% choice increase... And yes, I would most likely block it, after fooling around with it for a day or two. I really don't think I need that feature, and taking the wiggle stick off; storing it away safely; and having a nice wooden block in the hole in back, isn't going to hurt anything. Besides; if I do want a guitar with a tremolo?
I'll get one of these...

I do have a Stratocaster with a solid bridge also. Oh wait......no, it's a Telecaster.

Man that tremolo is jacked up high, Use 4 springs, and screw down the claw hooks. The goal is to get the tremeolo about 3 to 4mm high off the body. Another option is to block it down where the tremolo only goes one direction. Or the Clapton style where 5 springs are used to pull the claw all the way tight, and a piece of wood is placed between the tremolo block and the guitar body (this is said to add sustain). But the EC technique voids any use of tremolo.
