Double Bass First EUB - Scale, Model, etc.???

I want to transition from electric bass to upright and get a feel for it. I don't have room for a URB or a lot of money to experiment either.

Can anyone suggest what scale and model would be a good choice if I want to keep my cost to around and about $500-$600 and I am just starting out?

I am o.k. with a used EUB and I have seen the Dean, NS Wave, Santini and a few others all in the range.

Can someone give advice to a newbie here please?

In that price range there's not much choice.
My guess is that the Ergo would be the answer.
However, it's very stick shape if far from suggesting the upright feel, as far as I'm concerned.
