first exotic wood 6 string bass build

yeah I saw that too, sad...

Hey has anyone tried using a carl thompson style bridge with just the wood bar and the string through body? Looks sort of like an arch top bridge... I realize intonation would be difficult or not as accurate, but it is a fretless so I could just learn to play it in tune...

okay so after snapping the pickup cover, I ended up making a new and improved set, routed them in the body (they still need a little squaring on their ebony caps and some sanding), neck is now bolted on,and all the knobs are present...

NOTE: The bridge is not mounted, it moved when I took the picture...

:bassist:okay I couldn't stand it any more, the holes on the headstock were really far off after my first dry fit (man does this bass sound sweet!)... I plugged the headstock and reapplyed a top.. I think it came out better then before!

Also, I took a chance to clean up the control cavity with the router...
