First Lesson on Sunday

Hi All,

So I'm starting my first lesson on Sunday. I have kinda been goofing around with the bass for a couple of months on and off, and I just want to play cool tunes. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should ask from my instructor? What I should tell him to focus on. No particular attachement to any particular musical genre, open to all.

I would guess he should check that your overall technique/position is good first.

Chances are that you won't have to tell him what to focus on.

He'll assess your needs. There's certain things that you're going to have to learn/know to become a solid player.

Your choices will probably be limited to choosing songs you want to learn.
