First musical recording you ever purchased?

When I was little I had a bunch hand-me-down 45's. Dont even remember the titles or what happened to them

Sometime when I was 7 or 8 my brother gave me 3 LP's: Sabbath - Masters of Reality, Alice Cooper - Killer, & Zepplin II.

Later I was in store and saw Lynyrd Skynyrd Second Helping, And talked Mom into letting me buy it for my brother's birthday but then when I gave it to him he already had it, so that was the first one I bought.

2003 era and +/-. Dang I'm getting old too...

I remember buying three albums at the same time. Back in the early 70s there were compilation albums released by K-Tel. I bought one of them along with The Beatles White Album and Black Sabbath Paranoid. The Beatles and Sabbath albums had been out for a couple of years by then but I remember buying them at the same time when I was about 12 years old.
