FIRST OFFICIAL LOG EVENT!

John just confirmed with Dan that he will be bringing some strings for "giveaways" and - EVEN BETTER.....Dan has asked for 6-8 stands to show off some of the prototype basses!!!!! GregC and I have played several of these and can tell you that they are awsome!!!!

Thats right. Spoke to Dan today. He is bringing several prototypes. Attendees will have the chance to play them.
He mentioned the Decade and Osborn with Chi-Sonics.
He will also bring some "swag" for door-prizes. I would imagine some strings, and maybe some of those beautiful new straps.
We may part with a shirt or two.
I also spoke with Brian at Cream City . Hes their resident bass guy. They are going to try to get some extra stock of Laklands
just for this event. And don't forget. They are going to offer special pricing on all of their Laklands during the event .
I know for a fact. As of last night they had a
44-01 - Natural w/ Rosewood
55-01 - Natural w/ Rosewood
Skyline Duck Dunn
USA Glaub - Three tone sunburst w/ Rosewood ,Tort guard. Pickup cover
Used 44-01 - Sunburst w/ Rosewood .
Plus what ever Brian can get.
Dan is looking to golf. I'm guessing late morning.
Contact me if you are interested . 9 or 18 with Dan Lakin .
Chance of a lifetime.
I wish I could go, but I have to help set-up for the event.:crying::hmm::(:bawl::spit:

I am trying to get a feel for how many people are going to show up. Please, If you plan on attending, let me know.
Thanks

Here is a brief article on the GTG (as posted in the Cream City newsletter):

I've been soooo ready for the LOG GTG coming up...then, it happened. I just joined a very busy band that's booked literally every weekend through the rest of the year. :bawl:

I realize I shouldn't complain. They're a entertainment type of band that plays all types of venues; clubs, casinos, private parties, corporate, and weddings! This will be my new day(night) job! :bassist: I've never had to play so much in my life, if we could all have it so hard (;)).....well, I know it will be a great time. Have one for me friends!

Sounds like a good gig!!!

Don't worry - we'll have more GTGs......let us know your schedule and we'll try to come out and see ya!!!

Peace:

Doug

I'm going to have to leave around 6pm. It's my daughter's prom night.
You're a good dad!!!

Prom is tonight for my kid's but my daughter is a Freshman (can't go) and my Son (Senior) did not ask anyone....oh well!

ONE MORE WEEK TO GO AND THEN THE FUN BEGINS!:hyper:

PS - I even talked my wife into coming!!!!

I think she likes Jauqo....he IS a nice guy after all!

As far as bringing multiple basses to show off and your fave amp rig?
Its really not that type of GTG.
This is in an actual store.
They are concerned because a few years ago they had people do this at a clinic, and soon people were making deals and it soon turned into a swap meet.

Unfortunately, John has heard from Cream City that they have some "concerns" about people bringing their basses for a variety of reasons from liability to "doing deals" (which is not cool at a store that makes their money selling basses)...now we DO NOT want to quash anyone's excitment and we cannot stop you form bringing a bass, but....please know that Cream City is not "behind the idea" and working out a "deal" for a trade or sale at the GTG is simply not a good idea and will not be condoned or accepted.

Sorry if this causes issues with anyone, but we have been asked to let you know this....

BESIDES: Dan is bringing some REALLY cool prototypes for us to play and there will be plenty to "keep us busy"....plenty of "hot" toys will be around to play with!!!

we promise to plan a "show your Lakland Stable" GTG in the future where you can show off your fantastic Laklies!!!

Doug

People have been asking the time again...I have not been able to edit the first post (too long (timewise) I guess)....the time is 4PM to 6PM....the store closes at 4 PM so we will have the entire store to ourselves!

Feel free to come early and to "hang out" with Jauqo and other LOGgers!!!

PS- an "after GTG" party will be watching the Nubbed one play with his band at a local watering hole!!!
