First Open Mic

Hi all I did my first ever open mic tonight. I am looking to possibly change bands and a guy that I met asked me to meet him down there. I took my base with me in case I get a chance to play we ended up playing three songs I’ve Never played before and one that I had never even heard before. It was really fun and we were actually able to really find a good groove and almost sound like a tight band. We played Born on the Bayou,
Ain’t no Sunshine , and Rock and Roll. was cool. The guys told me I sounded great and was aggressive. I’ll take that as a complement

As stated in other threads I don’t have much live playing experience just join my first bar band a few months ago at age 50 and I’m having a blast!!

Congrats! But be very careful. This stuff is HIGHLY addictive!

All the best to you in your musical endeavors.

Thank you for your indulgence,
