First pedal board, what do you all think?

I get a lot of good squonk out of my Iron Either Xerograph Deluxe with the Frazz-Dazzler as a voltage-starved gated fuzz in front of it. But probably the most squonky thing I have right now is a Bananana Matryoshka. I have high hopes for squonkfactor for my newly boarded Mantic Flex Pro as well, but that's only theory until I get some time with it. For a delay I've been using a Strymon Timeline, but I'm not generally using it as a traditional delay and I'm usually leaning on the feature that allows me to send it into feedback/oscillation.

Sounds thunderous. I play with all pedals on at all times. The Saturns works pedal is modded to have one control knob that pans between the two loops with 12oclock being a 50/50 mix of each.

Honestly the only thing I'm thinking about adding is a one knob drive pedal in loop 2 or switching out the MXR for a Sansamp because the MXR is so dam flat . I know some people love that sound but it drives me nuts.

Nice first go at it!! You've got some good classics in there. Sounds like a lot of thought went into your setting up of that signal chain.

Regarding the MXR, my understanding is that it is meant to duplicate an onboard bass preamp primarily and can double as a DI. My understanding is that it is meant to have little tone coloration for that reason. The sansamps are good choices to be certain. Solid pieces for not much coin. Assuming you're wanting more of a vintage vibe, you could also go with the Darkglass Vintage MicroTubes or one of its derivatives.

To follow up, and since further down the thread you mentioned that you primarily go DI, if you're contemplating getting rid of the MXR, check out the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. It's their answer to those seeking a classic ampeg/fender tube tone with the added benefits of a drive circuit and a IR loading cab sim.

I picked up the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] not too long ago and it's been a revelation. The cab sims that come from Darkglass are good, but there are others out there that are good as well. I'm using a Rosen IR for a Mesa Powerhouse 1000 and it sounds beastly, especially when running clean.
