fixing a hardshell case connector strap

What's the best way to repair the little piece of material that keeps the lid of your hardshell case from flopping onto the floor?....mine has popped right out from the bottom half of the case. Im talking about this piece of woven plastic material...looks like it was originally glued in far down inside (or maybe even underneath), but the bottom half has come unstuck and popped out..how do you fix this?

Separate the liner from the shell and glue the strap back into place. If you are uncomfortable doing so yourself, any good luggage repair shop can make the repair.
I have done exactly this and used a small hot glue gun. It has held up fine ever since.
