Flashlights

Heck yeah! My friends and family think I'm nuts because I ALWAYS have a flashlight in my pocket. I'm a huge fan of the leds (no bulb changes for me plz) I have an inova X5 that I love, (thought it has blue leds, which I don't like as much as the white) and a inova XO.

I'm looking at the Fenix L2d-CE. It's got some serious candle power in a nice little package, and the price is right. Anyone have any experience with it? The only thing I'm not too sure on is the "dimming" with the variable clicks. I like to be able to "flash" with the light. Any other suggestions for a light about mag AA size, but with 100+ lumens, and hopefully at a lowish price?

Check out www.lighthound.com

There are some custom lights that meet that criteria but they are usually pretty pricey. I was going to get a Fenix too but when I was over in China I ended up getting a 1 x CR123 3watt LED. Nice sized...not as small as one of the AAA Fenix though.

I have a Maglite AA, a 3 D cell, and a Streamlight Scorpion. I primarily use the Maglite AA for EMS duty. Good size, practically indestructible and fits in the cargo pocket.

I have a 3 D cell Maglite, a Maglite AA, and a Cabelas Alaskan Guide XLW headlamp. The latter is wonderful for hunting, and crawling around in the dark on stage trying to find cables etc. Being hands free is wonderful.

I have a good friend and customer that worked for them up until a bad motorcycle accident. I think he might be going back to work soon. There booth at the SHOT Show is one of the most crowded ones of all. A good sign. They have Steve Ryan designing there knives, it looks like that part of the biz is doing well also.

My Surefire E2D goes with me everywhere, I love this light! I work in poorly lit computer labs digging around in the guts of servers, PCs, and RAID arrays all day so a good light is real handy. I also have a few PeakLED single AAA lights. Good for their size but they don't get much use. I keep a 4D aluminum bat uh.... I mean MagLite in my car, an old, non-working :rolleyes: 6D Mag in the wife's car, and an even older but still functioning 4C Mag by the bed.

I have a few 2AA maglites that I consider toys at this point, in fact I gave one to my son when he was 2 years old to play with (under my supervision of course). The E2D is brighter than the 6D mag and smaller than the 2AA so I have no use for the mini-mags.
