flats for a Dingwall D-Roc standard 5

Ladies & Gents,
Hopefully this is the correct venue, if not feel free to let me know and i will put elsewhere. I have a multi scale Dingwall which is essentially a hopped up non neck diving T-bird. I was thinking of putting flats on there. Does anybody have a recommendation ? It is a 37/34" scale so I did not know if there were any out there that would accommodate the extra 2-3 inches. I would love something a little lower tension. Thanks in advance !

Payson offers flatwound strings for Dingwall basses; both their own brand and optimized sets of TI Jazz Flats. Jason at FretNation can also help you get setup with some flatwounds from La Bella that'll fit.

I wouldn't just buy any strings off the shelf that say they're 'extra long' or '38" winding.' Those are averages and might not clear the nut because of the length of string that's taken up by the bridge.

Personally, I didn't like the way that La Bella flats on my Dingwall reduced the versatility of the bass.
