So these strings are highly ground/polished, really really smooth, but are coming apart. The inner windings are now visible, and there is white silk fiber on the inside along with a bronze inner wrap. Who would have made such a string?

Flatwound strings with a bronze inner wrap?

Sounds like TI flats, as they have a silk fiber wrap surrounding the core. Are the silk endings red?
