    does it even exist?

I mean: a bass that has absolutely no dead spots, no fretbuzz at the lowest action possible, doesn't make noise, isn't too heavy, plays great, it's in almost perfect [almost because that is something really impossible, lol] tuning, etc...

you know, objetive stuff, not like "perfect tone" and things like that...

so, do you know any flawless bass? pics would be nice, and prices too ;)
  2. If it exists i never saw one!
  3. Laklands!!

  4. The air bass. :smug:

In all seriousness, I don't think it exists.

    Im sure there is.

Probably that Ritter with the diamonds in the fretboard, etc, etc.

1,000,000 buck bass, should be worth it.

The perfect bass exists only in the mind of the beholder.

    Confuscious says.
  12. Rob Allens for the fretli with the nylonwound strings. Price: Mouse 30...a little crazy. MB2 5-6 pretty crazy.

Cliff Bordwell fretless 4 w/bird's eye fingerbaord. Price: Not bad.

    Conklin 6. Price: pretty insane.

Stambaugh fretted 4. Price: not bad.

True, and this beholder nominates the Dingwall Super J. The Novax fanned fret system eliminates characteristics of parallel fret basses that could be called flaws, and the Super J has amazing tone, impeccable construction, and excellent playability. It's the closest to perfection I've played.

well, the Perfect bass does... but the Flawless one doesn't.

the Perfect bass includes perfect p/u, tone, shape, etc... that's subjective

but a flaw is a flaw indeed... so a flawless bass isn't necesarily perfect for all people.

I think a flawless bass would be very boring rather than perfect.

    Gone to a better place
It does, and I have it. When I set up- my basses I like the action as low as possible. On this one, it actually looks unplayable, like a Guitar Center special - If I didn't know any better, a quick look gives the impression the strings are just laying on the frets.

It's not for sale so that won't help you much.

My Ric 4004Cii is as close to flawless as any bass I've ever played. Truth.

i personally think a a flawless bass would be simple and versatile. but everyone has their own preferences.
